Basically, preventing usage of NFC feature (switch characters) if you're about to fly-off, fall-off or if another character is the middle of Final Smash. Otherwise, no one will die, practically.
Now that I think about it, I don't think Nintendo will use this feature; specially, if they plan to integrate 3DS with it.
