Where did you get this crazy idea that an Xbox would only cost $99?
Next drop is to $179 and $249 (in Europe 149Euros and 199 Euros).
And it will not affect sales much because you can already find all consoles dirty cheap (the 4G X360 for 150 Euros, the 250GB X360 for 200 Euros and the PS3 for 220 Euros).
