Yeah, he's basically a walking Rorschach test. What's strange is how his most fervent supporters apparently think that the guy is a total, disingenuous piece of shit, moreso than even his biggest detractors do. He's too smart to really believe in that religion stuff, so he's just lying to win over the rubes because so many people would never vote for an atheist! He's totally for gay marriage, but he has to pretend like he's not for the sake of political expediency! Sure, he's got the DEA raiding dispenseries and is deporting more people than Bush but he's totally gonna legalize marijuana and fight for immigration reform in his second term, just you wait!
It's an extremely peculiar line of reasoning, and may actually be even stupider than the "Damn, Obama's so cool, did you see him pump hug Jimmy Fallon?" school of thought. I can understand that some people aren't very sophisticated and are basically voting for a celebrity, but the idea of voting for a guy who would make people suffer because it's okay since he's opposed to doing it in his heart of hearts is just fucking weird.
