This could be a very good thing if true, having Android apps able to be used on Wii U could open it up to a huge amount of casual games, helping to keep it's Wii Casuals marketshare whilst not hurting the actual games attempts to draw "hardcore" gamers back to Nintendo, maybe Google has seen this as an opportunity to help themselves (and at the same time, Nintendo, though I don't see them as competitors) try and take the fight right up to Apple, having close compatibility between Android devices and Wii U could be very helpful to both in the long run.
