Then again...Valve’s Steam VS. EA’s Origin: Who Will Host Wii U’s Online Service?

Online portion is critical. Too many conspiracies to voice an opinion.

To that end, both Valve with their Steam service and EA with their Origin service, are now lobbying Nintendo, hoping that they will be selected to power the Wii U’s digital delivery platform. And reportedly Electronic Arts is “aggressively persuading Nintendo to go Origin-exclusive with Wii U’s online so they can gain a competitive advantage over Steam.”

Nintendo has reportedly stated, “Nintendo needs an opportunity to rebuild relationships with Western gamers because they feel that only a massive western company such as EA understands what is needed to make an online service attractive to western gamers.”

Is...is that confirmed as being more than just a rumour? I'm scared.

If I could ask Nintendo one thing right now, just one thing, it would be: NINTY WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN BED WITH ORIGIN?. Or something like that. That paragraph right up there has a potential for very big things on Nintendo's next platform, good and bad.
