wont impact on dedicated handheld gaming one bit though.... I know because wise owls on VGC told me so.

hasnt impacted the 3ds thats for sure

would you mind explaining how you can possibly know this?

The 3ds continues to be the top selling game platform worldwide, breaking sales speed records, and all doing it before a remodel which is what the original ds needed

the 3ds isnt breaking sales speeds records and presumably the market has grown since DS and PSP anyway.....

The point is we can never know... there is a very good chance though that a number of Ipad, Ipod and iphone buyers may not bother with a dedictaed handheld as they see that these devices serve them well enough.

It is illogical to argue against this.

and there a a lot who only start with gaming because of ipad and iphone and start thinking about a handheld purchase because of that. we can't deny that either. it's the same like i started gaming. if i would never have played on the c64 of my brother i would have maybe never started with gaming. and because many start playing on iphone some mini games they start to think "hey it's fun let's see what this 3ds is"

nobody can tell how many will think like that or how many won't buy handhelds anymore because of the iphone. it's all just speculation but analysts never talk about that option.

as long as iphone and so on won't have the same controls some might think to purchase an handheld and if we will see same controls anytime soon with same quality of games then i don't care if i have to play on handheld or smartphone for good games^^
