2D Mario or 3D Mario?

3D games are always (always, sunshine haters :D) fantastic.

But 2D Marios are video games in a nutshell. The games to show the aliens when they arrive. To take to the past when the time machine's discovered. To be exposed in the louvre, even though the reason it's good is because it isn't art.
