The fact remains, however, that he was important in the ending of apartheid in South Africa and essential in India's independence movement. Compare him to the other Indian freedom fighters who came before him (read up on Bhagat Singh for example) and he seems like even more of an angel. |
Oh i'm not saying he's not worth being renowned at all, afterall nobodys perfect. I'm just saying... well nobodys perfect.
Gandhi wasn't this completely pure man dedicated only to his beleifs that everyone paints him to be.
He was a guy who above all else loved India and use the best way he could think of to free it and try and keep it together.
