I wouldn't doubt it ...
Third party publishers can (probably) release a significantly enhanced version of a HD console game for 10% to 25% of the cost of producing a new game; so I would expect a lot of new and recently released HD console games to be released on the Wii U with touch screen controls and enhanced visuals.
The success of the DS, Wii and 3DS will likely encourage third party publishers to devote some resources to Wii U games, especially if they can port them to the HD consoles or other next generation consoles if sales do not meet expectations.
On top of that, Nintendo seems to have "stopped" releasing games for the Wii for some time now and it is likely that they have been working on Wii U games for years; and Nintendo may have used their cash to enter into new second party publishing agreements with a handful of developers to fill holes in their line-up.
Essentially, if you have 12 (or more) quality enhanced third party releases, 4 to 8 quality exclusive third party titles, 2 to 4 quality second party games and 2 to 4 quality first party games in the first 6 months of a system's life it would (likely) be one of the best early line-ups ever.
