So i hope everything goes off alright,seems a bit stupid to bother racing here when there are so many countries we could be racing in where fans have a tradition with the sport but i guess we all need money for the coffers
as ever all changes posted after this,no edits,i think i'll watch practice 2 in about an hour

Yep I agree. As for "money for the coffers" is there that much income from the Bahrain GP to run the risk? I doubt it.
Anyhow my retiree is Schumacher as he has been doing a blinding job of it so far.

It's not just that. The GP has a contract; cancelling it will likely cost well over double what the GP would actually generate, because you'd have to break the contract, lose advertising, TV/Radio stations etc. have a contract for 20 races, the drivers still have to be paid etc.
It may be simple to just 'call it off', but unless you have real reason to do so, the cost implications are too great, especially now...
