Why is Japan buying more PSPs than Vitas? Also, they seem to love the 3DS, it's outselling NA which shouldn't happen considering it's a much bigger market.

Because PSP is the one getting all the games right now.

I thought PSV had backwards compatibility?

It's some weird backwards compatability that requires you to download PSP stuff to your PS3 and then download it back to your Vita - I'm not sure exactly how it works, or if all games support it
