doesn't assassins creed 2 have this. I used to have a 1280 x 1024 monitor, and it played with black bars on the top and bottom... and no way to play it in 5:4 format. I'd assume he mentthe aspect ratio is locked at 16:9 or the resolution of the textures aren't going to be changed like skyrim before the 8gb texture pack XD.
The framerate being capped doesn't make sense. I believe some console games used to cap it so it didn't massively fluctuate. But on PC your drivers already have those options so to limit it would be assinine.
They kind of are saying all the wrongs things, if this wasn't dark soul's, a lot of PC gamers would be going crazy (maybe they are, I haven't been paying attention).
Still even if it locks it at 30FPS. There will probably be a mods like old Final Fantasy PC ports that enhance the resolution from the crappy 640x480 to any other resolution.
