Let's roll back on this a moment. If your game sells, say, 2200 units, you're not making a profit unless its some of the most bottom-of-the-barrel trash ever. It's money that's almost not worth having

what world do you live in where there's money that's not worth having?

I was using hyperbole. The point is there's no way you're making a profit at that sales level, so although you'll get back some of your losses, really not that much, and you should have seen this coming and actually done something to make sure your game didn't end up like that.
