I thought the Sony and Microsoft conferences were just as good as eachother, and were better than Nintendo's. Actually, I'm not even sure, I don't remember the Nintendo conference. |
Microsoft conferences have never been equal to Sony in consistency. Their conferences are heavily third party multiplats with either a staggeringly low amount of exclusives or too many casual games. Sony makes too many exclusives so they never break their level of expectation. Nintendo needs to balance their games between the titles for people who have grown up with them (25+ years) or the people and the newcomers. When it comes to expecting internal games Microsoft is the one to expect to be the weakest. Microsoft's strongest E3 was in 2008 when they took Tekken and Final Fantasy exclusivity from Sony. They want Sonys fanbase, but can they make enough games to support them? Thats the question. It's not good to have three crappy E3's in a row.
