they will be using Cryengine 3 for another 2-3 years at least, and Cryengine 4 will likely just be an updated 3 anyway. Making a world class cross platform game engine is a multimillion$ investment these days. Hell Unreal engine 3 has been in use for over 6 years.

Half. It was more that I wish they wouldn't push out the series at this speed. Crysis' selling point is its graphical attractiveness.

Cryengine has a lot to give in terms of visuals, if they do DX11 right this time round it could look amazing on PC.
