Interesting thread. PS3 at $/€199 will shake the gaming industry. Not only in the developped countries but finally the PS3 is getting atractive to developping countries. We all know PS2 was later introduced in the developping countries at a cheaper pricetag and kept on selling. Same will happen with the PS3.
The way I see it will be like:
2012 total sales
PS3: 15 million(pricecut this year)
Wii: 5 million
By January 2013:
PS3: 76-77 million
Wii: 100 million, it will stop selling, I predict 1 million for the entire year of 2013
By January 2014
PS3: 90 million
Wii: 101-102 million
By January 2015
98 milion
Wii: 102 million
By January 2016:
PS3: 103-104 million
Wii: 102 million
