I'm confused. Didn't Microsoft win last year? I remember a big thread of people congratulating MS on that. Now Sony won? Really, I think this whole console sale race is wearing thin on me. I don't care if Sony wins the console race any more; I much rather they win itself out of debt.
I believe Sony has the potential of easily making other people and myself pay for more content on the PS3 without much retribution. In my opinion, the PS3 is far less from perfect--The system doesn't do everything. They should focus on perfecting the software for the hardware. If they can't do it, let other developers make cheap apps for people to buy to further customize their PlayStation experience.

Where is the Flac codec for me to enjoy my music correctly? If it cost them money for them to use the codec, why not sell it for .99 cents to further enhance my PS experience. ATRAC 352 kbps is not Lossless. I can tell the difference in my good sound system.
How about selling me a better music player with a more Interactive experience. Fast forwarding takes forever! The three different video plugins have gotten old. Sure looking at the earth can be entertaining for a while, but it gotten old. Why not sell me one from the ocean floors, space travel, etc. Use your CGI creativity. Hell you can even entertain the idea to other game developers. They can sell their own creative plugins to a"Premium Sony Player." (One that I own and don't have to pay a yearly fee to have. I'd buy this player for $4.99 easily and .99 cents a plugin)
I have more ideas, but I don't want to change the topic of this thread.
In my opinion, Sony winning the console race is becoming a stupid goal because they are not winning me. and I strongly believe they are not winning over their install base. To do that, they need to cater to what they want; I don't think Sony is really listening.
