We know it doesn't lack in-house exclusive support, but I think he's talking about some of the recent JRPG exclusive (like Ni No Kuni and Final Fantasy X HD) love it's getting (something a PlayStation needs).

Something like Final Fantasy Versus XIII can now remain exclsuive (not that it will, necessarily) and have healthy enough sales on the PS3 without the need of multiplatting because of the growth in fanbase.

See above

Depends on how you judge it, and btw, you forgot the Yakuza titles.

I suppose. I just think it's odd that he'd say the PS3 has been recieving more non-first-party exclusives recently. Both the X360 and PS3 are actually losing 2nd/3rd party exclusives as this generation carries on with each console's install base increasing. It's a lot harder to ignore a console when it has sold 60m+ units as opposed to only 20m.

I think you are both correct , he his correct in when the gap favoured the 360 by a large amount MS had the upper hand in regards to exclusives and all the momentum ,but things started to change especially when the slim came out and slowly as the fan base built  , games that where on 360 , games like Boshock that made sense to be exclusive to 360  for a number of factors , like ease of integration with unreal engine , fps selling on the system came across to PS3,  so from his stand point he his correct ,but your side is also valid because although PS3 had reached critical mass for want of a better term and reaped the benefits it wasn't like the early 360 days when factors such as a far larger install base, aggressive wooing by MS made it viable to go exclusive or timed , the tortoise had for all intents and purposes caught the hare got back some support , but most punters / developers went it's so close our best bet is back them each way .
