Good analysis. This is almost exactly in line with what was predicted in the "What's Nintendo working on?" thread.
One thing I wanted to add: Silicon Knights, the guys who made Eternal Darkness have repeatedly hinted at (most likely) Eternal Darkness 2. The copyright for Eternal Darkness was also renewed at the same day as the one for Luigi's Mansion (and that one got a sequel, right?)
