I mean, on christmas you can atleast make an argument that it was celebrated as a pagan holiday on the exact same date...but Easter...nah...its just plain 100% christian

Well, obviously not...otherwise I and many others wouldn't "participate" in it by eating lots of chocolate. We have to celebrate Easter too so the few hardcore christians here don't get lonely.

It's not what they think, it's what it is in many people's minds. Easter is something totally different in my mind than celebration of our Lord and Saviour etc. etc. If the church gets to create a holiday out of thin air, why can't we?

You can create whatever the fuck you want, just leave our holidays out of it
