I have never been a massive playstation fan tbh. I did however think that the market needed a new competitor during the mid 90's. Nintendo and Sega seemed to me to be just to be trying to get one up on each other all the time. When the PS1 hit the market the quality of games seemed to have got better. Nintendo and Sega had to raise their game as Sony was conquering a market that many had thought was impossible. PS2 is a legendary console. It'll be a few generations before another console overtakes it for LTD sale also has a catalogue of games that is filled with quality. PS3 Should be doing better tbh. It's still a major platform and has a few more years left yet though. Don't think it will overtake the 360 though but with its number of units sold cannot be conidered a failure. (Profit wise though was a major fault on Sony's part though)
