They are the two third parties that had the highest percentage of their income from the Wii.

Wii share in Ubisoft results got as high as 38% this gen, Wii share in THQ results was as high as 35%. ( and I mean the share of overall sales, not just consoles).

How is that for financial facts ?

So what's your definition of strong supporter ? Because for those 2 developers Wii share was actually the highest of any platform...

I'd like you to support your original claim that implied that the Wii is to blame for THQ's and Ubisoft's problems. This post does nothing of that sort. Also, you are just posting revenue shares at their highest point in this generation which might just be one exceptional year. Where are the sources? Post them.

THQ

This is from October-Dec 2010  to Jul-Sep 2011 (Wii Udraw launch to the HD launches). THQ lost money in each of those quarters, even the december quarter where Udraw for Wii was released.  To say that THQ problems were at the hands of HD twins release of UDraw is a scapgoat, their main issue is licensing of kids games (Wii dominant) and the increase cost for that (which was pointed out by Take Two).  Even if  the HD versions of UDraw sold at a even point with the Wii equivilant, they lost money with the Wii version, what makes you think they would havea different outcome with the HD?

Ubisoft

Bulletpoint 8 from the conference call by Yves Guillemont, I am sure if the Wii was doing well, Ubisoft wouldnt need to be transitioning to HD consoles so quickly.
