Meh... it's alright. It works well enough, but it's by no means the reason you'd want to pick it up. The novelty of it wears off pretty fast, and soon all that matters is whether or not you're able to play good games on it. That's the kicker for any system, and the 3DS is no exception.
Lucky for us, Nintendo does seem to be going out of their way to release a AAA game every 2 or 3 months, and so the 3DS is the first Nintendo handheld that I will have to purchase in order to play games like Paper Mario or Luigi's Mansion. Usually the consoles have all the good sequels, but times have changed.
