He really has his work cut out for him...
PSP GO, Playstation Move, PSP Xperia, and PSP Vita have been handled incredibly badly compared to PS1, PS2, and PSP and you have to wonder what happened to Sony.
As for their television business Samsung actually increased its share of the U.S. market to a new record in 4Q 2011 while Sony on the other hand had a decline of 20.7% .
They face extremely strong competition from Apple and Samsung in the smartphone market and it's hard to imagine what Sony will be able to do at this point.
Then there's next year which will be the beginning of another very expensive console war and judging by Vita Sony may be in a very bad position if they're unable to pour the massive amounts of money that will be required to compete.
Also lets not even into the damage that Apple is doing to them...
Sony has lost 80% of its value since 2000 which is pretty shocking when you consider that the bad times look like they're far from over.
