Mario Tennis Open to be the greatest multiplayer experience on the 3DS?

The best multiplayer will be Animal Crossing, if it has online play. It's a great game, but so cumbersome to leave your town. Smash Bros is another one that can steal the title, too.

None of those games will beat Mario Kart 7 or am I missing something obvious here? Is this a discussion where Mario Kart 7 is automatically excluded because it's the best multiplayer game anyway?

I'm not usually a online Mario Kart player, that's why! But it's probably among these as one of best multiplayer experiences on 3DS. My secret plan to make you think I hate it worked. It was secret even for me!
