How would you rate Nintendo 3DS' 3D?

Having the option of playing a game in 3D without glasses in my opinion is a very nice feature even if it's a gimmick.

The quality of the 3D is really dependent on the game. Mario 3D, Mario Kart 7, and Ocarina of time 3D look fantastic in 3rd dimension! While Kid Icarus Uprising for me is the best 3D I've ever seen. It really adds an extra immersive feeling to the game. Of course some games look terrible in 3D, with Tales of the Abyss being the worst I've seen yet.

Of course the 3D effect isn't perfect and can interfere with some of the 3DS's other features.

1. Using the gyroscope with the 3D on isn't intuitive, though with some practice you can master it. I can play RE Revelations like a boss with the 3D on and gyroscope without using a swivel chair!

2. Some people can't see the 3D effect and/or it gives them headaches/ makes them sick.

3. You need to be in the correct viewing position in order to see the 3D effect.

4. It drains the already short battery life of the 3DS even faster.

All in all though, I really enjoy the 3D but I'm also glad there's a option to turn it off.  This way  people can't legitimately complain about it since you aren't forced to play with it on.
