Well, if Activision and Konami want to turn down free money, I guess anything is possible. If they just do what they did with Wii/DS and just port things over from other platforms at low cost and sell millions of copies on Wii & DS, I don't see why they wouldn't continue that trend on Wii U/3DS.
Like I said...free money.
