Right, because that would be technically feasible.

It would. Broadcast a signal compatible with DS download play, have the 3DS run the actual software (and rendering) and just use the DS as a screen and buttons.


That's not how it works. Download play means that the game-less DS's will download demo versions from the host and will then run the software by themselves.

Exactly, the program you give to the DS is one that accepts the computed result from the 3DS and displays it. The downloaded thing doesn't have to be the game.
