reading the op is sometimes necessary, sometimes not, it's easy like that.

if there is a video about gta gameplay and a wall of text i don't see a reason why someone shouldn't be allowed to write in the thread without reading the full op talking about his feelings about the trailer. some would say "but it's my thread i want that everyone will read what i write blabla"
does this mean i can't talk about gta gameplay on vgc without reading op who was luckily the first to open the thread because if i would open a thread as well the thread would get closed because "there is already a thread about it"?

yeah, if someone is asking this question you should read op. if there is a list of 5 potentially cars you can be sure the thread will be bombed with suggestions of hundred different cars nothing to do with the thread.
