I first tried out Mario Kart round a friend's house almost 4 years ago and that game was Mario Kart Wii. As I had never played an installment in that series before I was bound to not do well and got beaten a lot to start off with. I quckly adjusted to the game and eventually turned the tables, dominating him in the process. On my 12th birthday I played friends on Mario Kart Wii and came out on top (by a large margin). My next aim was to unlock everything in the game and learn manual mode, as my older brother had previously been beating me a lot. As soon as I learnt manual and was eventually dominating everyone I knew in person. I was very rarely beaten by people I knew in person from that point onwards.

I decided to borrow Mario Kart DS from a friend and after a month of playing I unlocked everything in the game. It was very enjoyable but couldn't compare to Mario Kart Wii in my opinion. I returned Mario Kart DS a lot later than I had planned.

A few months after joining VGChartz I joined Cougarman's Mario Kart Wii GP League. I was quite scrappy and needed clear improvements. A user called JWS was near faultless and my aim was to beat him. After he had won the 2010 Mario Kart Wii GP League I eventually was able to challenge him. He used to whitewash everyone in the league and I emerged to be his greatest challenger. A user called NinjaGuyDan became my equal. I then became the 2011 Mario Kart Wii GP League champion.

While this was all going on, I tried out Double Dash and Mario Kart 64 with a friend. I always beated him on Mario Kart Wii but almost everytime he beat me on Double Dash. Mario Kart 64 was just ridiculously glitchy so anybody could win.

I purchased Mario Kart 7 and enjoyed it immensely, unlocking everything quickly but my patience online was bad. It was very frequent for me to be Blue Shelled in first, sruck by someone with invincibility, a red shell, and then a Bullet Bill. Managing to just recover to 4th. But it made me think, with practise you can be amazing at anything. Nobody is naturally talented.
