From my understanding, any dev complaining right now either is using version 1 or 2 of the SDK or is trying to run an unoptimized in house game engine.

There are approximately 5 different SDK's in use by various developers and many middleware engines were quickly and easily optimized for Wii U. In house game engines are at the mercy of those developers. If they don't have it optimized, of course your performance will suffer greatly. Or if you are using alpha SDK's, your performance will be lower than what other devs are seeing.

Or if you are doing both, alpha dev kit and unoptimized in house game engine, then you are a moron for complaining.

I've been following the NeoGAF Wii U thread and that's the consensus that the more reputable and "in the know" have posted.

But what sucks is that we're going to get these rumors and reports all the way up to E3... and I'm guessing from here on out it's gonna snowball. The only peep I think we'll get about Wii U before E3 is Nintendo's Fiscal Year Earnings Release on April 26. I mean, on the last report we got information on the Nintendo Network and the U-Pad's ability for NFC... so hopefully Iwata will throw the investors a bone to keep them (and us) happy.

The good news though is that E3 is approaching and all those propogating the false, or dubious, information will have the facts thrown at them with the force of a thousand suns.   OK, maybe not.  But Our logic, common sense and deductive reasoning will be vindicated at the very least.

Haters are goign to hate no matter what happens.  Get ready for the goals posts to get moved.
