It's a price issue really. While i'm no advocate for cutting edge console graphics, when you're launching the Wii U even at a low $299 (purely hypothetical, could be less or more), why should you purchase it if its weaker than your soon to be cheaper alternatives in the 360 and PS3 that have been out for 6 years and have enormous game libraries at this point?
