It's going to be impossible to tell if they dumbed it down or took away multiple paths/options until the game (or leak :P) comes out.
The previous hitman games are pretty awesome... but the controls have always kind of sucked (atleast on PC)... hopefully if they fix it, that's what they mean for "broader audience."
A lot of people said deus ex was going to be shooter heavy based on the look of the trailers, and if anything it ended up being stealth heavy.
