S.T.A.G.E. said: PC gaming will be ahead of console gaming as far as power is concerned. This is obvious and not such a great thing to boast. Lets see how the games get, because consoles had better games this gen imo and it's going to get worse unless PC learn to do something with all that power. |
Of course consoles had better games in your opinion. In my opinion they did not, especially this year and last.

Outside of WOW, Starwars TOR, Starcraft and a couple others...what did they have?

In 2011 and 2012 so far? Practically all of the multiplatform games, The Witcher 2, Minecraft, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Football Manager 2012, Dota 2 (beta still...but I'm playing it), Total War: Shogun 2, Anno 2070, Crusader Kings II, Frozen Synapse, Realm of the Mad God, the best version of BF3 by far plus lots of very good indie games on Steam. This is what I have played myself.
Then in 2012 we have on the way: Diablo 3, Dota 2 full release, Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. Diablo 3 alone would be enough for the whole year imo, it's such a beast.

Im not counting multiplatform, but since you insist. Thanks for listing all of those games though and most of the Japanese ones aren't on PC. Its a blessing that PC is even getting Dark Souls after fans came together for it. The company that makes it really needs the support, much like I will be supporting the Witcher 2 when it comes on the 360. Hopefully they will support it instead of ripping it. There is word that Diablo 3 might be multiplatform, but everything else is cool. Not much, but still very cool.

Not much? It's more than I could name for PS3, 360 and Wii in 2011 and 2012 (exclusives). I also forgot to mention more games like: The Binding of Isaacs, Rift, World of Tanks, Terraria, DCS: A-10C Warthog, Gemini Rue, Spacechem.
And tbh, it's not like there are have been a lot of great Japanese games lately besides Dark Souls anyway. Every Wii game can be played on PC if you really want to
If Diablo 3 will go multiplatform eventually, that doesn't really matter as it probably wouldn't release until much later.
