Yet Sony was able to cut nearly 100$ off of their production when they moved to the 40GB, which isn't called the ps3slim, fyi.
Although I will say that Sony has less room to maneuver in terms of their hardware, 360 has a ton of space in a console, and the ps3 is pretty tightly packed. Unless newer parts are much smaller, I don't realy see a slim in the works, unless they move to a portable harddrive or an ultra thin blu ray tray.
