1) Civilization IV
Culmination of the series evolution since the first one in 1990s, it's everything a strategy and history buff wants, a possibility to remake past and guide his nation towards a glorious future. Having endless possibilities was on of it's strenghts, making almost impossible to define what Civ IV was all about. If you doubt me, go to civfanatics forums and read about hundreds of threads complaining about CivV and trying to describe what made Civ IV so unique. It's really dificult do find the same definitions.
2) Simcity 4
It seems that four it's the magic number (while V it's the nightmare of gamers), but simcity4 it's also an almagam of ideas that worked, making possible to be the mayor, or mayor, of a huge metropolis, with a range of possibilities. Easy to play, but with the right and needed dose of complexity, it made you really feel like the boss of a thriving city.
3) Donkey Kong Country
One of the few game a I completed when I was a child it's one of the best plataform games ever. Balanced, addictive, and really fun. There's no describing getting a rhinno and running over evreything in front of me. It was amazing.

4) GTA: Vice city

The GTA I have played the most, it's for me the  most envolving from all of them. I really felt in the part of Tony, making the game last as much as I could, buying places and completing the side missions until, saddly, the game ended.

My favourite moment was when I ran with chainsaw after some guy during of the missions. Awesome moment.

5) Battlefield 1942

Best Multiplayer I've played. huge maps, vehicles and no BS of hiding until your life refilled. It was brutal but rewarding and being on PC, not limited to the also BS of 8 people per team as some of it's consoles counterparts(I don't remember, but I reckon I playe with over 20 people on my side, in lan, of course). Mind you, this is in the begining of the 2000s, so it was a great feature for the time. It was also slower than CS, wich made it more strategical, since each round lasted for 5 to 15 minutes, requiring some patience while playing.
