1.) Final Fantasy VIII

Reason: This was the game that got me addicted to the Final Fantasy series. It had done so many things right that clicked with my preferences. Amazing characters, story, battle system (maybe not the Draw system, which was unique but also monotonous), GFs, music, graphics, card game, and the list can go on. It was just fun on many different levels.

2.) Final Fantasy X

Reason: Possibly one of the most emotional story rides a person can enjoy. The power that Sin held over Spira was gripping, and held me captured until the bitter end. The characters were great ( especially Yuna). At the time the voice acting/graphics was unbelievable. This game has my all time favorite battle system.

3.) Star Ocean: Till the End of Time

Reason: Honestly 2.) and 3.) here in my books could be tied. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time has one of the most amazing plot twists i've ever seen. While I understand that some people may not like it. I found it to be downright insanely awesome. It was something I never seen coming. Also add in the great characters, ost, and crazy game length. This game definitely was a fun ride.

4.) Xenosaga III

Reason: All of the Xeno games are quite good, but Xenosaga III is the one that put it over the top for me. The difficulty of the game combined with the massive rebound off of the semi-awful Xenosaga II battle system was nice. The storyline for the entire series is very complicated, so you really need to be paying attention or else you will be confused to no end. Namco......Why oh WHY did you give this damn studio to Nintendo. WHY!?!?!?!?!?

5.) Demon's Souls/Dark Soul's

Reason: If you are a person who really enjoys video games, and a challenge that isn't this seventh gen stale mind numbness, then you HAVE to play these games. They aren't games that are based around Uncharted production values, an amazing storyline, or even great voice acting but they do one thing right and they do it damn good. The gameplay in the Soul's games is sheer entertainment whether i've just beaten a boss for the first time after 30 tries or even found a new damn weapon. This is a series I would like to see stick around for a very long time, and please From Software, do not sell out and give in to easier difficulties to appease a "new audience."
