8:1 is pretty extreme, but it is just one month (and you can see that the overall figure is much lower). I wonder what the January figures will be, since supply of hardware is much more constrained than software due to diverted hardware shipments.
Primarily, though, I think this is due to the Wii finally having a robust software lineup at the end of 2007. I hope this wave of software sales will show third parties that Wii owners do, in fact, buy games.
