Marketing costs, probably. Usually they're about even with production costs, so...
OT - happy for the Hunger Games. The series as a whole definitely surprised me who was expecting it to be akin to Twilight or Transformers.
It dispels the myth of technological progress, portrays complex relationships on a believeable light, the female characters are infinitely superior to those on your average Hollywood macho "shit blowin' up" movie and is thematically superior to both Harry Potter and Twilight. Give a chance to the books if you are one of those who give a sacrossanct character to dispeling teenage-oriented culture first-hand.
