You say this, but again, you have no evidence to base this on, other than hope.

Let's put it this way. The 3DS Monster Hunter game, which is a remake of a port of a port of the original game, on a new system, has sold 1.34mil in Japan.

The 3DS has sold 5.4mil. That's an attach rate of 25%, or every 1 in 4 3DS owners has a copy of the game. and this number was MUCH larger last year, closer to 1 in 2. Can you imagine what will happen when a brand-new game with brand-new features is released? It'll explode! The Vita can't compete with that.

As such, when the Vita MH is released, it'll be too late, because it'll likely be a year or more after MH4 I'd imagine. So the fanbase would be on the 3DS, and it's doubtful all of them, and more, would buy the Vita game, especially if it's not new. So the Vita game would be the irrevelant one.

I have hardware specs to base that on, it's a little more concrete than hope

and it doesn't matter that it's sales are when there is no monster hunter on Vita, those sales will be completely irrelevant the moment the definite version makes it's way to Vita

Just because the Vita has better graphics, doesn't mean it'll sell better or be the definite version. If that was the case, the Xbox and Gamecube would have outsold the PS2, the PSP would have thrashed the DS, the Wii would be miles behind the HD consoles, and the Vita would be regularly outselling the 3DS. None of these things are happening.

Your logic seems to be, since the Vita has prettier graphics and more control options, it'll be the best version. This is not the case, not least because we know nothing about it yet, or if they'll even be a game.

And sales won't be irrevelant if a Vita version is released. Does the 15million headstart the 3DS has over the Vita mean nothing, for example?

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
