Wii being an exception cause it is so radically different, when your a similar console then your competitor, then releasing first almost guarantees a win...or at least gains a significant lead thats hard to come back from.
3rd party guys get used to the one whos first. Head start installed base recommend console to their friends. Higher install base helps negotiations for 3rd party exclusives.
Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
