it's still not going to make M$ jump extremely excited for him. Despite his name and pedigree, I wonder how many publishing houses are really excited to fork over money for a game done by him. Beings his recent track record of creating huge successes going back to the spirits within hasn't been so great (I'm not talking quality).

My personal opinion is that he should get back with square. He is friends with Kitase, and some of the people at square. Square's not quite been the same without him, and he's not been quite the same with square. (though both sides have made some really neat games). It's probably a pipe dream, but I think that would be positive publicity for both of them.

And, anyways his IOS game could be great, SE made a great IOS games, so I'm sure sakaguchi can too. Unfortunate, I don't have IOS :-/. And only played chaos rings on my brothers phone


He just should get in touch with Sony
There is no need to have a bad relationship when both sides need each other.
Sakaguchi needs a company where he can make HD Games  and SELL them and Sony needs someone who makes a classic High Quality J-RPG.
And the Chaos Ring Games are pretty good - In general there are a lot smartphone games that are better than every HD Game SquareEnix made in this Gen.

There is a reason Mistwalker directly ran away after they were done with the 2 game contract with Microsoft.
Somewhere Sakaguchi said he likes the idea even more to make games for a crowd that likes and buys his games and for example how much fun he had with Nintendo and The Last Story.
