can we really blame 'em for what they do? I mean, a lot of Japanese Fella's like to play on the go, so ... should we hate on them for serving their main audience?

It saddens me too, i'd prefer a high Quality Game intead of some weird Mobile-pseudo games, but..

Sort of I'd argue that the reason why imo There's more quality JRPG's on Handheld's is because that's where the japanese market is at and much cheaper to make to boot. So it completely makes sense to do that from a business standpoint.

If you ignore Final Fantasy, look at Monster Hunter/Dragon Quest/Ni No Kuni. The mobile versions outsold the console version, sometimes by a great margin. But that's not exactly what this topic is about. 

I don't really think making an IOS card game is really much of a deal. Because it's a card game, and it's not like they don't have other games coming out soon (Kingdom Hearts, Bravely Default, Wakfu came out, and a  lot of Eidos titles). Square's often made silly games like chocobo dungeon or chocobo racing (i don't remember), that silly chocobo game for FF8 PC version. To me, this seems like people just wanting to hate on SE (which there is plenty of things to hate them for), but I think this is kinda stupid to hate on them for.

You also can't argue that sakaguchi wouldn't be doing this either XD.
