Perhaps things are different in America, there is enough space for the majority of drive through venues to be almost identical, but buildings and the car parks here in the UK have to fit into small spaces. Ultimately the tech can learn what to do, but with the current tech there are still going to be places unique enough that the cars can't do the neccessary maneuvres themselves on the first time visiting. |
I don't really want to go through all the reasoning... but you did see all that crap on its top as well as cameras in every window right? THere's a reason it has driven in every type of roadway for over 200,000 miles without a single issue. It can "see" its surrounds and that has far less to do with GPS than you're implying.
