The flaw is that there is no objective standard by which games are judged. And while all media is that way (movies, TV shows, books, music, plays, etc.) for awards and quality judgements, the other types of media are older and people tend to have broader tastes and more of a shared understanding. In video games, often reviewers tend to favor one or two types of games above all others. (And we won't even go into the psudo-payola issues from which video game reviews allegedly suffer).
All this being said, it is tougher to find newer quality games on the Wii compared to the other two systems because of the decrease in releases. It is also possible to find hidden gems (underrated or under publicized) games in all three consoles' catalogs.
