" None of those games resemble Super Mario Kart at all" the original point was about physics and in terms of physics they pretty much do imo ( furthermore i don't understand what track rotation in your context has to do with physics ) No they don't, these are completly different games, Rad Racer doesn't even have rotating tracks and represents a very very different style of gameplay we don't see anymore. When I refer to physics I am talking about game dynamics, Rad Racer has a fixed screen which you always go into, very different from anything nowdays. Outrun is also not an item based arcade racer, it's more like Cruising USA.
"the nature is very different. Tricks are a main part of the game and implement a score, where Mario Kart they give you a boost." pretty much irrelevant to the point, which was if i understand correctly you trying to give the impression that mario kart was the first racing game with air tricks which is nonsense It's not, but it's implemented very differently from ATV Off-Road fury.
"Does it involve a mash up from other Capcom brands? Are Chris Redfield and Mega Man fighters? It's a very different game, do you not understand?" i guess i don't understand, the way i see it is that both companies use their characters for a fighting game, but thats me Smash Bros is a ...well Smash fighter, with characters from different IP's within the Nintendo brand. Street Fighter, like Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct, all have their own characters unique to that games universe (no characters from different IP's). Dead or Alive is a hybrid of a Smash fighter and a regular fighter as some characters are imported from other IP's. Sony's fighter is a close of Smash Bros. "Just no, they could have implemented in more ways that are identical to MK7." cool so i guess you're pretty much going to ignore the fact that the grappling hooks work the same exact way in lbp ( which came before mk 7 ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRk4-nOg1-0 imo i can't even fathom a situation where handgliders could be likened to grappling hooks but thats me but whatever Grappling hooks in LBPK are used only to swing the driver to cross a larger gap (exactly how hand gliders are used to make the racer cross a larger gap). In LBP grappling hooks were also used to pull you closer to objects (in that video on a boat). They were also used to pull you towards other players. Why are those gameplay mechanics of LBP not implemented in LBPK and only those which imitate Mario Kart 7? |
