The PS3 can't win this gen - I think its already lost the top spot to the Wii.
The best Sony can do, is a gaming blitz to stay competitive and overtake the 360. Then end up in a DS vrs PSP type situation.
Basically, they have to beat the 360 (and they should, thanks to Japan). If they can't do that, the PS3 will go down as the biggest disaster in the history of gaming.

If they actually can get the PS3 to outsell the Wii - in *any* territory - even for a couple of weeks - I might reconsider. But at the moment, the only way this is looking likely is if the Wii is supply constrained. The demand for the Wii will *always* greatly exceed the demand for the PS3 - regardless of pricing, games or anything else.
