That seems more like a unique twist off Nintendo's Idea. ??? what idea? Nintendo has never made a new game genre anything like "Play, Create, Share" for you to say that.. This is the one part where I think LBP Kart is unique. The rest is a rip off. basically you just low-key tried to say that Sony copied Nintendo with their "Play,Create,Share" genre -_- Words in my mouth, I was commenting on the overall structure of the game. Laso's, Kart size and physics, battle mode, etc. but what Nintendo "idea" are you talking about though? Answered in other post i'm curious..
I mean just look at the video, doesn't it look like Mario Kart 7? uhh no, it looks like "Little Big Planet Karting" Not to me i mean maybe it does when you see characters riding on karts and racing. I mean that IS what you do in a KART RACING game lmao Does Sony have to use an engine this similar to Mario Kart, with dash corners, laso's and even the kart size and physics? and by this logic i can also say that it looks like chocobo racing, Bomberman Fantasy Race, Diddy Kong Racing, MegaMan Battle & Chase and every other kart game that has ever been created ;) Never played half of those, so I wouldn't know. However don't you race Chocobo's in Chocobo Racing? Do all those games have boost turns and jump extendors? Diddy Kong was different from MK64 by having planes and hovercrafts, an adventure mode, and overall very different level and item design. so what is the significance in trying to single everything else out and trying to focus on it "looking" like Mario Kart 7 specifically? Already responded in other post.
Just with this and the upcoming Smash Brothers clone, it seems Sony is trying to expand their library by copying Nintendo lol Sony make a Kart game and now they are trying to expand their library by copying Nintendo? LMAO Sony had kart games on their consoles BEFORE LBPKarting was announced my good sir ;) Yes, and you're point> Mario Kart is still the oldest. and i honestly HOPE the Sony fighting game is like Smash bros . If Sony somehow manages to make a better game than smash bros then it will make Smash Bros a better game in the end because Nintendo will of ccourse try to outdue the Sony smah bros game with their smash bros release Competition is great, I agree. With a Kart game, you likely won't see much of a quality change because of the demograph, but Smash Bros has a bigger hardcore base (by % I assume), so if the PS3 Smash compeditor is good, Nintendo will up their game. |

Lol yea, does Sony really need two highly modifiable Kart racers? Think that's too much for the casual fanbase. |
Also while I'm not a fan of CTR (It's like Mario Kart/Diddy Kong Racing with shortcuts (which suck)
somebody PLEASE tell me that this guy did not just try to criticise CTR for having shortcuts LMFAO!!
...The worst maps in Mario Kart are the ones with major shortcuts. Why race on the track if everyone is going to try to use them? What makes Crash even worse is most shortcuts can be reached without the use of special items. Makes the map design feel poor if you ask me.
CTR is BETTER than both Mario Kart 64 AND Diddy Kong racing
Everyone has an opinion, but 30+ million people seem to think Mario Kart Wii is the best
Mario Kart 64 AND Diddy Kong racing both had shortcuts but of course you just want to single out CTR for some strange reason for it having shortcuts though LMAO
Worst Maps in MK64, and generally points of bad level design (rainbow road) or item requirements (Koopa Beach). Diddy Kong shortcuts were nowhere nearly as major as Crash, and depended on the vehicle you raced in.
so you REALLY shouldnt be a fan of them aswell going by that..
hmm would the game being made by Sony have something to do with it? ;)
I like many Sony games, however just the unique ones like Uncharted and InFamous.
is it safe to say that i think i have you figured out now or would i be jumping the gun?
and WHO THE HELL doesn't like shortcuts in a racing game anyways? lol
Who does? Really? seriously?
and less imaginative track designs (both physical and artistic)
i would argue that CTR's tracks are more imaginative artistically AND physically
the tracks are more well put together than the tracks in Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong racing
they also have more detail and look better aswell despite 64 having better graphics than ps1
;)
The track in the video was a temple and forest, it's texture lacking and balnd....however I will agree for the technical limitation CTR is pretty awesome, but MK64 was an early N64 game, and CTR came out near the end of PS1's life.
I think Sony should bring a more serious kart racer on the table instead of two....easy ones (I think Mario Kart has been too dumbed down lately too)
all they have to do is make this game like CTR and it will be a BEAST ass game
would be better then an MK clone. However I think DKR and old MK's are better. Mario Kart DS is probably the best Kart game ever, really amazing level design.
