I have more confidence in the Wii U than I did for the Wii. However, that was because Nintendo was at a low point in the home console market. Pretty much you can't fuck with Nintendo in the hand held market. Props to Sony for trying and creating their own user base. Competition is always good (unless they work together to set prices).
