Hmmm I missed it when he said he would upgrade his PC, my bad. What shooter outside Halo MS depends on? Other shooters that are talked on 360 are multiplatform shooters. You still didn't told me why you HAD to buy an HDD for your 360 and how didn't you find games worth owning except for Gears... really! I own a 360 and I love Halo but I don't own Gears as I don't like that franchise too much neither do I own Fable... so is my library empty of good games? I assumed that since the OP came from the Wii, which doesn't have an HDD, he wouldn't care much for an HDD. It's not required to play games on 360 (I know 2-3 games requires it). He didn't have nor wanted to get a PC that runs today's games so 360 had a fair share of PC ports and has the better version of most multi games it's only normal I put 360 foward. He likes adventures and rpg... seriously, is PS3 that better when you consider this genre... it's all a matter of taste, games outside PS3 are good to other people. |
I have Mass Effect saves on my 360 from 2 so I bought 3 and I also bought Kingdoms of Amalur as well on my 360 as well as preordering Witcher 2. I was speaking about earlier in the year. Gears was the only game I had around Jan- Feb on the 360. I am only buying multiplats and exclusives on the 360 since they lack so much and I can save my PS3 the brunt of the massive installs it has to endure. The PC ports also look better...so I might give Skyrim a shot when I have the time. I ditched the PS3 version since it wigged out on me, but I heard the devs fixed its issues.
As for shooter dependents who own a PS3 and 360, its really up to them which console they feel is better for shooters. Most would agree most shooting game fans like the 360, but the sales suggest its nearly equal now as far as COD is concerned. The Xbox (unless Microsoft changes peoples minds) will always be the shooter box. It gained that name nickname last gen and continues to be called that because it only really shines light on shooters like Halo, Gears, COD, Battlefield and the like. Sony doesn't do that, despite the fact that the third party shooters are successful on their console.
As for the HD, I had to buy it. The 4GB the Slim Arcade had maxed out after a couple demos and saves of Gears 3. Your library may not be empty of good games, but that doesn't disregard the fact that a if you dont Play Gears or Fable and you axe out Halo as well you're better off having a PC.
As for JRPG's the PS3 and 360 had a pretty even amount of the PS3 is still expecting more whilst Japan is quickly dropping 360 support.
WRPG's if the PS3 doesn't have the port is ported from PC, so either way PC wins there. The only thing PC doesn't get are JRPG's and the PS3 supports that outside of the Wii now. Id say the Wii has the best JRPG's this gen. The 360 has only one standout JRPG and thats Lost Odyssey. The PS3 doesn't have that one stand out JRPG but they have quite a few which contain different experiences.
For action adventure, platformers &puzzle games the PS3 just owns the 360.
As far as racers are concerned the PS3 has more and a wider variety of exclusive franchises. Twisted Metal, Motorstorm, Gran Turismo and Wipeout. The 360 is down to Forza now.
They also have MLB the show, which has been the top baseball game for a while now (hasnt really had competition, much like the NBA 2k or Madden franchise)
Starhawk will span many genres and will change the way we play multiplayer on consoles for sure. Sony first party...yet again. Anway, you get the picture.
